On the 28th April 2016, “Adopt a float” visited 2 classes of the “Pio X Artigianelli” school in Florence (Italy).
Emanuele Organelli, researcher at the LOV, dedicated the day to explaining the functioning of the floats and the importance of the observed parameters. Thanks to Mr. Tirreno, the float adopted by the two classes, students discovered the seasons in the Ocean and the environmental factors affecting the growth of phytoplankton in the Mediterranean Sea. As first actors, students also performed some practical experiences in the school labs!
