Sept flotteurs sont désormais "en mission" au Sud de l'Islande. Ils ont été déployés le 17 avril par deux membres de l’équipe à partir d’un bateau de pêcheurs. Un des objectifs des chercheurs est d'étudier, grâce aux mesures de ces flotteurs, le démarrage du « bloom » ou floraison du phytoplancton en Atlantique Nord. Iceland – successful deployment of seven floats
Seven floats are henceforward « on mission » South of Iceland. The 17th of April they have been deployed by two members of the team from a fishing boat. One of the objectives of the scientists is to study, thanks to the measurements of the floats, the beginning of the phytoplankton « bloom » in the North Atlantic. Other deployments should follow soon in this subpolar area, in the Labrador Sea as well as the Irminger Sea. Stay tuned …
